A Hearts & Souls team made up from the charity trustees together with some family members plus a guest quizzer who answered our plea to make up a full team of 8, took part in the Marlow Donkey pub quiz last night and we held our own against a packed house with a respectable score of 31/60!
A series of quizzes have been held throughout October at the Donkey with all the proceeds going to Hearts & Souls. This was arranged by the quiz master Sharon who also presided our previous outing at the Rebellion brewery quiz earlier in the year.
A superb £190.00 was raised on the night but over the whole series a impressive £840.00 has been collected, added to this was a £40.00 donated raffle prize from Chris bringing the total presented to Hearts & Souls on the night to a grand total of £880.00
Our grateful thanks go to our hosts The Marlow Donkey and their clientele but pariculary Sharon for nomiating the charity and making us feel so welcome, as well as everyone who has contributed over the past few weeks.
